General
information
The first formal studies of Forestry began in 1919/1920,
within the Faculty of Agriculture. In 1949, on the 5th February
it became independent, as the Belgrade University Faculty
of Forestry. In 1953 the Faculty moved from Zemun to its present
address at Kneza Višeslava 1. There is an arboretum,
greenhouses and insectarium within a ten-acre complex. The
Faculty has three complex, located in Belgrade, Goc and Majdanpecka,
all of which are under the control of the Centre for Tuition
and Scientific study in Belgrade. During an 80-year period
more than 7,000 students have graduated from the faculty.
There are currently 2,100 students studying at the faculty
and 150 professors and associate academic staff.

Curriculum
There is a four year Basic study period divided into four
courses: Forestry, Timber Processing, Landscaping and Horticulture.
Protection against Erosion, The total number of examinations,
between 33 and 38, depends upon the course. The conditions
governing enrollment into the next year are set down in accordance
with the General Acts of the Faculty.
Pre-examination tasks
Examinations are in the form of oral, written and professional
practice. In order to certify the year or semestor the student
must attend all lectures, professional practice, seminars,
colloquium and field work. Examinations take place in January,
April, June, September and October. Students begin work on
their Thesis following their final examination.
Student facilities and equipment
The library has over 62,000 books and periodicals and a reading
room is situated on the ground floor in room 29. The second
reading room is on the ground floor to the right The library
works from 07.30-14.30 hrs and the reading room from 07.30-19.00
hrs. The librarian is Ms Mirjana Golubovic.
The Student book shop is situated on the ground floor to the
left. There are also two student coffee clubs in the basement,
which work every working day from 07.00-19.00 hrs.

Offers information on all aspects of studies and applications
for credit, stipendium, halls of residence or administrative
requirements.

Student organisations and associations
The Student Alliance is syndicated to all student organizations
and protects and promotes the rights and interests of students
and represents them before the Faculty Authorities. They also
arrange cultural, entertainment and sporting events, publish
a student newspaper called Breza and also co-ordinate the
activies of the mountaineering, fishing, hunting and Scout
organizations. Their office is in the basment in room 12 Telephone:

General
information
The Faculty of Technical Sciences, in the town of
Bor, was founded in 1961 and was originally called The Faculty
of Mining and Metallurgy. In 1978 the Faculty was renamed
as The Faculty of Technical Sciences and to date, 1,600 students
have graduated from the Faculty. There are currently 1,600
students studying at the Faculty and 53 professors, assistant
professors and associate professor members of the Academic
staff.

The curriculum
The period of basic studies is 4 years (8 semesters) divided
into six subjects: Mining, Metallurgy, Technology, Management,
Computer Science and Electrical Mechanical Engineering. There
are a total of 15 optional courses: Mineral Resources Exploitation,
Geological Engineering, Recycling Technologies and Sustainable
Development, Technologies of Minerals, Metallurgy Engineering,
Processing Metallurgy, Metal Materials Engineering, Precious
Metals and Gold Processing, Inorganic Chemistry Technology,
Environmental Protection Engineering, Industrial Information
Systems, Information Systems Engineering, Industrial Management,
International Business and Electrical Mechanical Engineering.
The number of examinations during the four years of basic
studies varies from 35 to 40, depending upon the course. Certain
examinations are taken through a number of partial examinations

Student’s attendance at all classes, lectures and practices
is compulsory. Student’s pre-examination obligations
also include: a pass in partial examinations, completion of
graphic works, passing tests and handing in seminar papers.
The examinations are both written and oral.

Student organizations and associations
The Faculty of Technical Sciences Student Alliance, Student
Organization and Student Union address the issues of the protection
of student’s interests and communicate with the management
of the Faculty on students' behalf.
Sport and Cultural association “Student” organizes
a variety of sporting and cultural activities and student
excursions.

General
information
The Technology-Metallurgical Faculty (TMF) was founded
in 1925, as a Department within the Technology Faculty. During
the 1950’s TMF gained its independence as an educational
and scientific institution and moved to its present location.
The faculty offers a four-year course and to date 9,155 students
have graduated from the Faculty including more than 825 completing
their postgraduate studies and 530 gaining Ph. D’s,
and there are presently 1,800 students.

The curriculum
Basic studies last for five years or ten semesters, the tenth
being for the final examination. The first year studies are
the same for all students, however, during the second year
of studies, students select from the special courses offered
which are: Chemical Engineering, Fabric Engineering, Graphic
Engineering, Metalurgy and the Metal Materials, Neoorganic
Chemistry Technology, Environmental Protection Engineering,
Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Organic Chemistry
Technology and Polimeric Engineering, Materials and Pharmaceutical
Engineering.
Pre-examination tasks
Students' pre-examination obligations are: a pass in partial
examinations, computer and laboratory practices. Examinations
are taken in both written and oral forms in – January,
April, June, September and October. Students may take some
partial examinations. The conditions governing enrollment
for the following year are set down in accordance with the
General Acts of the Faculty.
Study facilities and equipment
In a small building of the Faculty there is the library with
a large selection of books, some 33.000 items. Within the
library there is the reading room with about 100 seats.
Opening hours: 8.00–21.00 hrs Monday to Friday.
Next to the library there is the bookshop. There is a photocopying
shop in the basement of the main building of the Faculty.
The computer centre, equipped with 40 computers used for lectures
and students' individual work is located on the ground floor,
to the right.
