Belgrade Student Health and Financial Support Society (ZPU) represents the oldest student service which has developed over time into the most numerous student organization in our country. It was established in 1852 by the few richest people of the time with an aim to help the students either for reasons of health or those financially-stricken. Humanitarian nature of the center has been preserved till nowadays, while the number of satisfied members of ZPU constantly increases.

The most interesting programmes of Society are certainly co-funded summer and winter holidays. Students – the members of ZPU have at their disposal interesting travel arrangements at significantly lower prices than in the market. This difference in price is feasible due to non-profit nature of ZPU, i.e. because Society allocates the money from its own funds and thus reduces the price of travel arrangements.

These programmes are available for all ZPU members who regularly pay their membership fee, as well as for other non-member clients who, on the other hand, do not get any funding for travel arrangements.
Summer and winter holidays are organized at attractive travel destinations such as Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Kopaonik mountain, Bulgaria (Bansko), Jahorina mountain which was during the last year visited by more than 5,000 students.

There is also a great interest for student excursion programmes, which are held during the spring and autumn and reflect old European cities such as Venice, Prague, Istanbul and Budapest rich with cultural-historical monuments and places you must visit. Last year more than 2,000 students used these programmes and were highly satisfied with the quality offered and especially with the price.

The Society, in accordance with its nature, is primarily involved in helping students with health problems as well as those who are financially-stricken. The help usually implies covering the accommodation costs at student dormitories and catering costs at student canteens; free summer and winter holidays, excursions for students with financial problems; medical treatment costs, surgical treatment costs, spa programmes, recovering and rehabilitation costs for the students with health problems.

At ZPU office there is an organized distribution of student benefit cards (Easy Travel Card, ISIC, Euro<26) which grant a number discounts to cardholders within the country and when travelling abroad.

Support Society together with The Ministry of Education and Sport invites the applications for student rehabilitation and recovering at Student Recovering Center »Ratko Mitrovic” on Zlatibor. This programme provides more than 1,000 students with an opportunity to spend time at this attractive travel destination at highly acceptable price.

Within its scope of activities the Society cooperates with a number of student and youth organizations, as well as with state institutions and companies.

Working hours of ZPU office are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on working days.
